Build your rider profile
Set your licence class, riding styles, home region and an honest pace level from 0 to 7. The level adjusts after rides through peer feedback, not speed leaderboards.

Discover or host a ride
Browse open rides matched to you, or publish your own on any route. Pick chill or spirited mode, cap slots from 2 to 12, and chat with the group before wheels roll.

Show up and ride
Meet at the staging point, follow the host briefing, and ride at your own pace within the group. Afterward, confirm attendance and pace so everyone's level stays honest.

Safety without gamifying speed
Dutch law bans road racing, so KickTheStand Rides never times you or ranks top speeds. Instead, a pace level and reliability score keep groups honest. Hosts see joiner levels and bikes before anyone rolls. No-shows earn strikes; every third strike pauses joining for 30 days. Every ride carries clear own-risk copy.

What is KickTheStand Rides?+
KickTheStand Rides is a free app for finding scored motorcycle routes and joining scheduled group rides matched to your pace, riding style, licence and region. Think of it as the Playtomic of motorcycling: set times, matched riders, great roads.
Where does it work?+
The app launches with editorial routes across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, with matching centred on Dutch regions. More countries and routes follow as riders contribute GPX tracks.
How does pace matching work?+
You self-assess a pace level from 0.00 to 7.00 at onboarding. After spirited rides, peers confirm whether you were slower, spot on or faster, which nudges your level weighted by reliability. Chill rides do not affect your score. Speed is never measured or ranked.
What is the difference between chill and spirited rides?+
Chill rides are open to all riders and do not change pace levels. Spirited rides target a level band around the host's pace. Riders outside the band can request a slot for host approval.
Can I use my own routes?+
Yes. Import a GPX file to create a route with distance auto-computed, or browse the editorial starter set. Export any route as GPX for your nav device.
Is KickTheStand Rides free?+
Yes. The app is free to download and use. There are no ride fees or deposits in version one. Reputation handles no-shows instead of payments.
When can I download it?+
iOS and Android store listings are opening soon. The web app at rides.kickthestand.com is available for early access. This page will update with App Store and Google Play links at launch.
