Frequently asked questions

Do I need SNELL certification for track days?

Many US track-day organisations and race bodies require SNELL M2020 (or FIM homologation); European tracks generally accept ECE 22.06. Check your organiser before buying, a road-perfect lid without the right sticker stays in the paddock.

Why do track helmets skip the internal sun visor?

A drop-down visor needs a recess in the EPS liner, exactly where a race helmet wants maximum impact-absorbing foam. Race lids leave it out and expect a dark face shield instead.
